We have just been notified that Jerry Springer the US Show Host is confirmed as the Umpire for the Essex Arrows Baseball Match to be featured in this year’s Waltham Abbey Town Show 27-29 June.

At Noon on Sunday  29 June The Mayor of Waltham Abbey, Ricky Gadsby, a New Yorker by birth [and accent!] is to throw the first pitch of this league game.

The Waltham Abbey Town Show has been operating for eight years and has attracted a wide range of craft exhibitors in small numbers.

The 2009 Town Show will incorporate a craft fair marquee into the existing show which currently boasts a funfair, helicopter rides, music and sideshows. The attendance level of the two day show is around 5,000 each day.


Public entry to the show is free. Exhibitor fees in the marquee are £60 per day. Advance payment  attacts the benefit of a discounted price. Go to our booking forms page.

 

Each day will run from 12 noon until 5pm with an extension until 9pm, on the Saturday only, for the funfair.

Stardust

Apart from the usual attractions, Sunday 28 June will also feature live shows, dance and music from the paradise island of Mauritius. Helicopter rides

Prebook Helicopter rides in our Squirrel helicopter as a present for the one you love. Only £35, select your own time and day [to the nearest hour].

 

If you wish to pre-book a flight before the day, as a gift perhaps, please contact our secretary. It will be £35 per person. You will need to state a day [Saturday or Sunday] and time between 1pm and 4pm. The flights may start a little earlier and end later but these core hours will cover most variations.

 

Inclement weather and technical issues will of course affect the flights.

 

Monies are refundable in cases of technical or weather cancellation.

Gift vouchers are available.

 

The number of passengers on a given flight varies.

 

With the aircraft fully fuelled it may be reduced to the pilot and three passengers, when some fuel has been burned off the pilot can have as many as five passengers.

Taking place over the weekend of 27th - 28th June 2009, Waltham Abbey Town Show is fast becoming the premier attraction in the Essex calendar. Not only that but because Waltham Abbey is primarily situated on the Herts / Essex / London borders it is an event for a wide area of interest.

Easy to get to

Easily accessible by way of the motorway network (J26 of the M25) and served by both the main line railway network (Waltham Cross Station) and the London Underground (the Central Line Loughton station is easily reached) we are a must for your weekend entertainment.

With over 8,500 missions flown since the service was commissioned we are proud to welcome them to our show over the course of the weekend.

Free entry

We pride ourselves on not charging any admission fees for this event so you could stay and enjoy yourselves for the whole weekend without spending a penny of your hard earned cash. There are some attractions which will charge a fee to participate.
